About the Boat - Hawaiian Style

Established in 2017.

Hawaiian Style Catamaran is her name and custom built is how she was made. Hawaiian Style was custom built by Gill’s Catamaran, designed by Vince Bartolone and influenced by Rudy Choi,
multi-hull innovators.

This 48-foot catamaran has a sleek low-profile design which makes it optimal for stability out on the ocean. It has 2 large lounging nets on the front of the catamaran as well as 2 small lounging nets on the back. Not only does Hawaiian Style have lots of room for lounging in the sun, but it also has plenty of seating in the shade as well. We have two coolers that we fill with ice for whatever food and beverages you choose to bring aboard. Stainless steel eco-friendly cups are also provided. We have Bluetooth surround sound which you can connect to and play your own music. All snorkeling gear is provided.

About the Private Charter

We want to be your favorite escape at Hawaiian Style Catamaran. We are all about living in the moment and taking in the beauty that the island of O‘ahu offers while always respecting our Hawai'i marine life and environment.

We have a two-hour minimum for our charters, but you can book as many hours as you would like. Sail, snorkel, swim, relax, eat, and drink in good company! Look for dolphins, turtles, and whales (season-dependent) while you enjoy a mellow cruise off the coast of Honolulu or a thrill sail at full speed. Every experience is customized to your preferences.

Captain Stephen

Owner and Captain, Stephen was born into sailing and racing catamarans since 7 years old. He began ocean crossings at age 16, and he has lived in Hawai'i ever since.

In 2017, Stephen started sharing the amazing experience and memories that the ocean has to offer with others. Alas, Hawaiian Style Catamaran was born. Everything we stand for as a company is rooted in this. We offer private charters in Oahu because we want to deliver personalized experiences rooted in Aloha spirit, share community, and build lasting memories of a lifetime.

Captain

Captain Tom

Tom has been working at Hawaiian Style Catamaran since the very beginning. He started out as a First Mate and has transitioned into an amazing captain. Tom’s passion for sailing is rooted in his family and has grown into a personal passion to which he loves to share with others. His father sailed all around the world throughout the years, and now Captain Tom is out sailing the waters of Hawaii everyday. We are lucky to have him as a part of our Ohana at Sail Hawaiian Style Catamaran.

Fun fact: Captain Tom was born in Japan and lived there the first 10 years of his life.

First Mate & Booking Manager

Savannah

Savannah has been working at Sail Hawaiian Style Catamaran since early 2021 and has been working on the ocean for 9 years. Savannah has loved the ocean ever since she was young, and she loves getting to share that passion with others. Not only will you find her working as a First Mate on charters, but you might also talk to her on the phone when you are inquiring as she manages our booking inquiries.

Whitney

Whitney joined our team in 2023. She has been working on boats for 8 years, and she also has her Masters in Sustainability. She has lived in Germany and various other places around the world. She is passionate about the ocean and the sustainability of our environment. We couldn't be happier to add her to our team.

Our
Location

We are located in the Ala Wai Boat Harbor in the heart of Waikiki.

The marina offers free parking and $1/hr parking.

If you booked a Friday Night Sunset Sail during summer, we recommend taking an uber or arriving a minimum of 30 minutes early to find parking.
