As you prepare for your upcoming private catamaran charter in Waikiki with us at Sail Hawaiian Style Catamaran, ensuring you have the right essentials packed can make all the difference in your experience. From capturing stunning moments in Waikiki to staying safe under the Hawaiian sun, here's a handy guide on what to bring for an unforgettable day at sea.
1. Water and/or Reusable Water Bottle:
One of the most crucial items to have on board is water. Staying hydrated is essential, especially when spending extended periods under the sun in Hawai'i. Remember to bring enough water for your whole group. If you have them, we always recommend bringing your reusable water bottles filled with water, as this eliminates plastic waste. We also provide stainless steel cups for your use while onboard.
2. Sunglasses, Hat, Towel, and Sunscreen:
Shielding yourself from the sun's rays is key to staying comfortable and safe while out at sea. Please make sure that your sunscreen is reef-safe, and be sure to apply and reapply sunscreen regularly. If you are concerned about being in the sun the whole time, do not worry, as the entire back of the catamaran is shaded. Don't forget to pack sunglasses to protect your eyes from glare, a hat to shade your face and neck, and a towel for drying off after your refreshing swim.
3. Camera:
Capture every moment of your private charter experience with a camera. Whether it's a smartphone, GoPro, compact camera, or DSLR, having a camera on board allows you to preserve memories of breathtaking sunsets, encounters with marine life, and cherished moments with loved ones. We also have a phone charger onboard for guest use if needed.
4. Food and Drinks of Your Choice:
One of the perks of a private charter is the freedom to customize your experience, including your onboard drink and food options. Whether you prefer a gourmet picnic spread or simple snacks and beverages, feel free to bring along whatever food and drinks you would like. The boat has two coolers built into it that we fill with ice for any and all items you bring onboard. There is also a clean bag of ice onboard if needed for any drinks or cocktails that you create. Our 4 or more hour charters are welcome to bring things to grill as well, such as skewers, veggies, etc, and the captain will be happy to grill this up for you. Learn about our catering options here.
Additional Tips For Your Private Boat Charter in Oahu:
Footwear: You do not need to worry about footwear, as we are a barefoot boat. If you are in a medical boot, do not worry, you will be allowed to keep it on onboard.
Protective Clothing: Consider bringing a lightweight cover-up to shield your skin from the sun's rays. We also recommend bringing a light jacket on our sunset charters to keep warm after the sun sets. We also have blankets onboard that we are happy to bring out for you at any time.
Bag: Keep your belongings dry and secure by packing them in a bag of your choice. You can keep any bags inside of the cabin to keep them from getting wet.
